LOCATION:  Palmerville and Maytown via Whites Creek Road and self-sufficient camping at Palmerville Campgrounds.

TOUR:

DAY 1:  Meet at Palmer River Roadhouse and travel to Maytown to visit and explore significant sites throughout the area.  

DAY 2:  Cultural tour with Western Yalanji Rangers where you will be guided to visit the largest and most significant collection of Caves in Australia

DAY 3:  Guided fossicking and fishing tour

DAY 4:  Return home departing with memories lasting a lifetime

things to note

  • 4WD vehicle required.  We suggest a vehicle pre-start checklist be completed a week before travel.
  • Some trekking and bushwalking involved – please bring comfortable enclosed shoes and a trekking pole (if required).  
  • Limited phone reception throughout the trip
  • Self-sufficient bush camping – there are limited facilities during the day trips.  Palmerville campgrounds also have other accommodation options.  Please advise upon booking.  
  • There are Bio-Security and Fossicking rules and responsibilities that we will follow as instructed by Palmerville Station.
  • Minimum 3 vehicles and Maximum 10 vehicles per tour.
