A LOW 4 Off-Road 2 Day Recreational 4WD training weekend includes all the fruit from our 1 day recreational training course and then further develops your experience and confidence.  We will guide drivers to understand the capability of their vehicles better and surpass their expectations of what they felt was possible in their four wheel drive vehicle.

Location:  LOW 4 Off Road proving grounds in Mareeba

Duration:  8am to 4pm (Day 1) and 8am to 2pm (Day 2) (times may vary depending on numbers)

Cost: 

  • $460 (includes 2 drivers)
  • $350 Learner Driver with Supervisor

  • 4WD terminology
  • Basic mechanical inspections and trip preparations
  • Wheel changing
  • ABS and Braking
  • Trip Planning
  • Off-road driving techniques
  • Obstacle driving techniques
  • Creek crossings
  • Vehicle placement in rough terrain
  • Basic tow recovery techniques
  • Use of snatch strap, winching and TRED Pro Recovery boards in a range of scenarios and recoveries
